Training

There has been a good deal of training in the past couple of months.

Thank you to the individuals that stepped up and assisted.

General 

It’s spring so please be on the alert for snakes. There have been a few spotted already. Watch yourself around the field and especially out past the fence line. Leave the alone and they will not be a bother.

The board members are working on an outline of duties for each position. This will make it easier to transition after the coming elections next February.

Recently there was a incident where the last member at the field did not turn off the power and lock the gate. Be aware that if you are the last person the leave you must turn off the power to the outlets and lock the gate. 

EVENTS

A number of members have been going to Browns Ravine at Folsom lake on Tuesday mornings to float fly. Feel free to join them. Be aware that there is an entry fee for the park. There are annual passes available through the state parks website. Additionally if you are over 62 you can purchase a pass for the year for $20.

The soaring contest went very well. Good turnout and everyone had a good time. Thanks to Jim for chairing the event.
